Fly Girl Foundation CIC is more than a grassroots organisation — we are a movement built on lived experience, resilience, and the unshakable belief that every girl deserves the chance to rise. Founded by Rhia Canady, a woman who has turned personal adversity into purpose, we stand beside vulnerable and at-risk young women and girls, offering a path from survival to self-empowerment.
Through trauma-informed workshops, mentorship, and community support, we create safe spaces where women are seen, heard, and uplifted. We understand the impact of trauma, neurodiversity, and the weight of labels — and we reject the idea that anyone should be defined by their past. Instead, we focus on healing, growth, and possibility.
At Fly Girl, we’re not just helping women rebuild — we’re helping them soar.
From Prison Pay to Purpose-Driven Leadership
This is me, Rhia Canady—founder and CEO of Fly Girl Foundation—standing in the very gym at Eastwood Park Prison where I once worked for £2.40 a day. Just 15 months after my release, I returned not as a number, but as a leader, mentor, and changemaker. This moment captures more than a full-circle journey—it represents resilience, transformation, and the mission behind Fly Girl: to empower women to rise from adversity, reclaim their stories, and lead lives of purpose and power. I am living proof that healing is possible, and through Fly Girl, I’m here to walk that path with others.
Support our mission to empower young women and transform lives. Together, we can create a community of strength and resilience.
